This must be one busy farmer

Here's that church marquee again. This time the usage issue is a little more black and white.

The AP Stylebook calls for farmers market, not farmer's market.

It make sense. Unlike Mother's Day, which is singular because it honors your mother, a farmers market is more general. Unless you're dealing with one very busy farmer, the produce likely comes from a group of farmers. Think Veterans Day (not Veteran's Day).
