There's no need to dialogue about this point

Alert the media: Mr. Rewrite made another usage error. He'd long believed that AP called for dialog rather than dialogue, which looks awfully dated to Mr. Rewrite.

Then he bothered to check the AP Stylebook. It turns out the world's oldest and largest newsgathering organization goes with dialogue.

Meanwhile, please, please, please don't use dialogue as a verb (e.g. "Let's dialogue about whether dialogue should be used as a verb."). It's almost always going to be bureaucratic jargon.
