This is Mr. Rewrite's cheesiest post ever



Countless menus feature this misspelling of Parmesan. Countless people mistakenly pronounce it as Parm-EE-zee-ann, so it's understandable that the misspelling arising from it is so common.

There's no AP Stylebook entry on this one, so Mr. Rewrite relies on his Webster's New World College Dictionary for direction. Keep in mind that the New World and other references go with a capital P. That's because Parmesan refers to things or or from Parma, Italy.
