A poor showing on a not-so-tricky usage point

Mr. Rewrite didn't have to pore over many articles to find examples of one of his favorite homonym errors.

Here's the deal: When you study something, say a textbook, in detail, you pore over it. When you cause liquid to flow, by tipping a glass of water for example, you pour.

Here are some Google News searches that will turn up poor use of these words by those paid to know better. You might have to pore over the articles a bit, as there are quite a few recipes in there:
